Family Ceramic Workshop: Light-up Clay Houses

About this event

Join us for the Family Ceramic Workshop: Light-up Clay Houses, led by Teaching Artist Rachel Jaffe. This engaging, hands-on workshop invites families to explore their creativity as they create miniature clay houses or buildings that will glow when illuminated with an LED tea light. Participants will learn hand-building techniques, including rolling and cutting clay slabs, constructing walls and roofs, and carving windows and doors for light to shine through. Perfect for artists of all ages, this workshop encourages collaboration and skill-building while crafting a unique keepsake. Each registered participant will create one illuminated clay building. Designed for school-age children and their accompanying adults, all attendees must register. Finished artworks will be kiln- and glaze-fired, and participants will be informed when their pieces are ready for pickup, along with complimentary LED tea lights provided for every creation.
