🌅 Sunset at Where Wonder Grows: Evening Art Walk at Mount Trashmore Hampton Roads Psychedelic Society 📅 Friday, November 13 · 4:30 PM 📍 Mount Trashmore Park, 310 Edwin Drive, Virginia Beach. We'll meet at Shelter 3; the installation is just beyond it. Join us for a sunset stroll through Where Wonder Grows: Sanctuary, a free, immersive art installation by the Australian art collective Skunk Control. It features thousands of nature-inspired pieces: kinetic flowers that open and close, peacocks, birdhouses, and butterflies that play with light. As the sun goes down (around 5 PM), the flowers and plants light up, so we'll get to see it both in daylight and glowing after dark. We'll wander at our own pace, take in the art, and share conversation about wonder, awe, creativity, and psychedelic education and integration. The installation is open until 8 PM on Friday nights, so stay as long as you like. All are welcome. That includes every background, identity, body, age, and experience level. You don't need any psychedelic experience to join, just curiosity and an open heart. 💛 What to bring Layers and a warm jacket (it cools down fast after sunset) Comfortable walking shoes A flashlight or phone light for walking back to the parking lot Your camera! Community Agreements Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Respect privacy: ask before taking photos of others. Speak from your own experience, and listen without judgment. Be gentle with the artwork, and leave no trace. Substance Policy The Hampton Roads Psychedelic Society is an education and community group, and our events are substance-free. Please do not attend under the influence, and do not bring, use, share, buy, sell, or ask about controlled substances at our events or on this Meetup page. We don't provide substances, ceremonies, or referrals to them. If you choose to explore psychedelics on your own, please educate yourself on safety and harm reduction. Anyone who doesn't follow this policy may be asked to leave and removed from the group. These guidelines keep our space safe, legal, and welcoming for everyone.
