- ➤ Point Break Festival will return for its third year at the Oceanfront with headliners Slightly Stoopid and Sublime on June 20 and Rebelution and Dirty Heads on June 21. Tickets will go on sale Friday at 9 a.m. and all alcohol proceeds will support the Virginia Legends Walk Foundation. WTKR
- ➤ Virginia Beach native Rhea Seehorn, a Kempsville High School graduate, won her first Golden Globe as Best Actress in a Drama Series for Apple TV's 'Pluribus' on Sunday + she had also received a Critics' Choice Award for her work, marking another milestone in her acting career. 13News Now

- ➤ Virginia opted into a federal education tax credit program (Education Freedom Tax Credit) effective Jan. 1 to widen school choice via scholarships, with the scheme launching in Jan. 2027. - ➤ State health data shows that last week, influenza diagnoses dropped from 7,331 to 4,676 cases after hospitals required masks for flu symptoms + overall activity improved statewide, while about 20% of emergency visits in Hampton Roads were for respiratory illnesses.
