On March 24th, 2025, Mutts with a Mission held a dress rehearsal at the Little Theatre of Virginia Beach so its service dogs could practice helping disabled veterans and first responders with tasks like opening doors and picking up dropped items—preparing them for future assignments. The nonprofit has trained the dogs over two to three years and has already paired them with more than 100 clients.

Virginia Beach is set to host its annual Cherry Blossom Festival at Red Wing Park from March 29 to April 5.

The festival features tea servings, martial arts demonstrations, interactive art stations, food trucks—and a new vendor market on Sunday, March 30.

Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation is seeking public input on three park design options for Rudee Loop—a nearly 8-acre area mostly used as parking lots—with designs developed from a survey of over 4,000 residents.
