- ➤ Two people were arrested for an illegal firearm purchase — 26 year old Darien Smith, a convicted felon, was taken into custody on Feb. 17 on charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and solicitation of a straw purchase, while 27 year old Raeqwon Williams was arrested on April 28 for charges related to straw purchase and failure to obtain a background check. - ➤ Governor Youngkin signed into law a bill — part of the Save Local Pharmacies Act — that bans pharmacy benefit managers from owning or running pharmacies in Virginia to boost transparency and protect independent drugstores. The law will take effect on July 1. 13News Now
