Police arrested Brian Burton after a resident on the 600 block of Oleander Circle called 911 about bullet holes, which led officers to find 54-year-old Christine Donahue’s body outside a neighboring Kempsville home—officials have not released further details on their connection.

Virginia lawmakers were briefed Monday on the potential impacts of federal Medicaid cuts using data showing most voters oppose the proposed changes.

The briefing follows federal legislation targeting $880 billion in cuts—proposals that may affect more than 1.9 million Virginians enrolled in Medicaid programs.
