Virginia Beach school leaders have drafted a policy to limit Chromebook use in classrooms for pre-K and first graders, allowing exceptions (such as library use and for students with adaptive learning needs), and the vote on the proposal will occur in June with potential effect next school year.

Dozens of second graders from Luxford Elementary took a boat tour off the Oceanfront on Friday morning for a first dolphin tour field trip funded by an anonymous donation from a Hampton Roads nonprofit.

The trip gave students a chance to connect classroom lessons with real marine life.
