Dozier was sentenced to 90 days in jail with five years probation after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter for a 2022 crash on North Great Neck Road that killed 58-year-old John Hefti. Officials said he veered into oncoming traffic while driving a Ford truck on Oct. 4, 2022—his sentence was handed down on May 19. WAVY

- ➤ Virginia State Police warned motorists to drive safe and sober over Memorial Day weekend — last year’s statistics showed 13 fatalities and heavy traffic led to over 90 DUI arrests. Starting Friday, officers will join Operation CARE — the counting period runs from 12:01 a.m. May 23 until midnight May 26. WAVY
