Virginia Beach police are asking for help to locate Cecelia Marie Kelley, a 42-year-old woman reported missing on June 4 after her family lost contact on June 1 — she was last seen traveling in the Greenwood and Cradock areas of Portsmouth — and is not believed to be in danger.

Protest organizers plan multiple 'No Kings' demonstrations today across southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, including a gathering in Virginia Beach from 2-4 p.m. at the intersection of Independence & Virginia Beach Boulevard where local police expect a peaceful event amid calls by the 50501 Movement to oppose alleged authoritarian actions.

Virginia Beach Police said they contacted promoters for non-permitted events scheduled for next week but received no response — officers said the events will not occur and they will recover costs for extra services provided.
