  • Virginia Beach-based Acoustical Sheetmetal Company announced a $45.8 million expansion that will create 350 new jobs and add a 250,000-square-foot facility at the Innovation Park as it marked its third expansion since 2019—Governor Glenn Youngkin and Mayor Bobby Dyer attended the announcement. CRIME NEWS

  • Virginia Beach police are asking for help to locate Cecelia Marie Kelley, a 42-year-old woman reported missing on June 4 after her family lost contact on June 1 — she was last seen traveling in the Greenwood and Cradock areas of Portsmouth — and is not believed to be in danger.  13News Now

  • Protest organizers plan multiple 'No Kings' demonstrations today across southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, including a gathering in Virginia Beach from 2-4 p.m. at the intersection of Independence & Virginia Beach Boulevard where local police expect a peaceful event amid calls by the 50501 Movement to oppose alleged authoritarian actions.  WAVY
