- ➤ Police said a boy was pulled from a pool on Five Point Road at 5:57 p.m. on June 13 and later died on Wednesday after hospital treatment - investigators are still looking into the drowning incident. 13News Now

- ➤ The Virginia Beach City Council voted 9-0 on Tuesday to fill Oceana Pond with dredged material despite opposition from wildlife advocates, nearby business owners and residents who warned of increased flood and contamination risks. City Public Works said the material will be tested and three monitoring wells — part of enhanced safety measures — will be installed to manage potential hazards. 13News Now
- ➤ The Virginia Beach Police Department is moving ahead with its Drone as a First Responder Pilot Program after City Council approved $1.3 million on Tuesday. Police Chief Paul Neudigate said the department will pre-position drones along the Oceanfront—allowing them to send live video to the crime center—so responders can act more quickly. WAVY
