Coastal business owners in Virginia Beach expressed relief that weather held off a potential tropical storm during Fourth of July weekend—helping places like Ocean Eddies record strong Friday profits—while volunteers cleaned the beach ahead of roughly 10,000 visitors expected on Saturday.

Virginia Beach is offering financial assistance to over 20 nonprofits through its Community Organization Grant—designed to expand services for residents in need.

Together We Can Foundation, which helps 638 local youth, is one of the groups invited to apply before applications close on July 31st.
