- ➤ Residents in Ocean Park have raised concerns over unsafe behavior at Lynhaven Boat Ramp as tire marks and videos show frequent burnouts and dangerous stunts—including a recent incident when a man fired a rifle that led to an arrest—with city officials installing speed bumps and increasing patrols while Councilman Schulman will hold a meeting at Shelton Park Elementary on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. to address the issues. - ➤ Virginia Beach Police announced that Dayquon Veney, 28, was apprehended on July 3 in Baltimore in connection with two smoke shop robberies that took place in May along Holland Road and Princess Anne Road — he was wanted on warrants for strongarmed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, grand larceny, and conspiracy to commit grand larceny, while police continue to search for a second suspect.
