- ➤ Virginia Beach announced that armed security, Flock cameras, and speed bumps will be installed overnight at Lynnhaven Boat Ramp starting tomorrow until Oct. 31 to reduce noise and risky driving—residents have long complained about disruptions from crowded nighttime gatherings and burnout incidents. 13News Now
- ➤ City leaders have introduced new measures at the Lynnhaven Boat Ramp to end dangerous engine revving and unsafe burnouts as neighbors raised safety concerns—security guards will be deployed from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. starting tomorrow night, with plans to add wireless signs and a Flock camera to manage overflow traffic. - ➤ The Virginia Beach Swiftwater Rescue Team recovered a muddy baby quilt from the Guadalupe River and returned it to Paula Thrash in Texas, whose family treasured the lost item as her son recently welcomed a new baby.
