- ➤ On Sunday around 7:45 p.m., a VBPD SUV struck a truck at the North Birdneck Road and Virginia Beach Boulevard intersection, and the truck driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the officer sustained minor injuries as the VBPD Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash. - ➤ Glenn Ryder died last week after suffering a medical emergency while surfing near 16th Street at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront — his son said his dad died doing what he loved and the family will host a paddle-out in mid-September to celebrate his life. 13News Now

- ➤ A person was seriously injured by a shooting early Sunday morning at the intersection of Lynnhaven Mall Loop and Northeast Mall Drive and was taken to the hospital, while police continue to investigate the incident. WTKR
- ➤ Virginia Beach police responded early Sunday morning to a shooting on the 4900 Block of Gulfstream Circle where four people were injured with non-life-threatening wounds and were taken to local hospitals & the investigation remains ongoing. WTKR
