CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Virginia State Police said viral TikTok videos claiming many children have been abducted are not true—data shows 88 children were reported missing from Aug. 3 to Aug. 9, a number close to the usual weekly average, with most cases being runaways. WTKR
- ➤ A South Mills, N.C. man named Bobby Dale Francisco pleaded guilty to threatening St. John the Apostle in Virginia Beach and received a sentence of five years in prison—two years suspended for mental health treatment—resulting in a three-year prison term followed by five years of probation and a ban from Richmond Catholic Diocese property.
