- ➤ Virginia Beach police arrested 32-year-old Jasmine Hockaday in connection with a shooting on Saturday on South Lynnhaven Road — a gunshot report came in shortly before 4 a.m. and a man was later treated at a local hospital. 13News Now
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students in Virginia Beach City Public Schools outperformed state averages on all Standard of Learning tests—reading, writing, math, science and history—for the 2024-25 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education. Officials said pass rates in writing, history and science improved by two to four percentage points from last year and credited focused support and dedicated teachers for the gains. WTKR
