Virginia Beach is marking its first official Zero Waste Awareness Week with events planned to cut waste—featuring a VBCCC statement at City Council on Sept 2, tote giveaways on Sept 3, a recycling table at Bow Creek on Sept 6, and an E-cycling event at the Aquarium on Sept 13.
Several public libraries will also display books on reducing and reusing materials to help residents learn more about waste reduction.
