Beignets & Brew will open a new cafe on Princess Anne Rd. in Virginia Beach this month — franchise owners Josh and Jen Moore said the cafe will serve beignets, specialty coffee, beer and wine — creating a friendly spot for the community.

A new study by SmartAsset ranked San Jose as the safest big city and placed Virginia Beach at number 5 among the 50 largest cities—researchers used federal and local data to compare crime, overdose deaths and traffic accidents.
