ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Tuesday's heavy coastal storm dumped over 7 inches of rain on Virginia Beach, flooding neighborhoods along South Independence Boulevard and Rainbow Drive—residents said some streets were impassable hours later. City officials say crews cleared many flooded areas and a project will soon replace temporary pumps with permanent ones to better protect the neighborhoods. 13News Now
