Grammy-winning music producer Timbaland returns to Hampton Roads later this month for a tribute weekend known as Timbaland Way—honoring the Virginia Beach neighborhoods that helped shape his sound.
The event will be held at The NorVa and other venues to celebrate his legacy and support local talent.
Three Asian small-clawed otter pups were born at the Virginia Zoo at the end of August and their parents Jilin and Elbe care for them as they remain indoors until they grow stronger—zoo staff said the pups are part of the Species Survival Plan.
A major infrastructure project began Monday along 17th Street and Virginia Beach Boulevard to replace water, sewer, and stormwater systems while adding bike lanes, crosswalks, and upgraded traffic signals.
The project — funded by $42 million from the city’s Tourism Investment Program fund — has closed the Arctic Avenue and 17th Street intersection with detours via 21st and 22nd streets through Oct. 24 and again from Oct. 27 to Dec. 23.
