  • ➤ Local Jewish leaders in Virginia Beach praised the release of 20 Israeli hostages on Monday as part of a ceasefire deal reached at a Middle East peace summit after more than two years of conflict in Gaza. They described the move as a welcome sign of relief and warned that the released hostages will need long-term support (such as help for PTSD and recovery).  13News Now

  • ➤ Experts predict that peak fall foliage in Virginia will occur in mountain areas between Oct 10—20 and in coastal parts from Oct 20—31 due to warm weather, rain, and wind slowing the change—while North Carolina’s high elevations will show color this week and low areas may peak in November.  13News Now
